Program Scope & Objective
The F.I.V.E. Career Readiness Training Program is a workforce development program that is the natural and next logical extension beyond participation and completion of the Five Hearts Healthcare Substance Use Counseling Group that positions substance users displaced and un-established in the community towards self-sustainability and self-efficiency. This workforce development program will guide recovering substance users through regimented career readiness training in pursuit and obtainment of various industry certifications. The regimented career readiness will assist in the establishment and re-establishment of a self-sustainable lifestyle and further transition into a self-efficient lifestyle where one is then poised to reside in the community, contribute to the benefit of the community, and create economic comfort and security for one’s self and/or one’s legacy.
The transition will occur beginning at the group counseling phase and transition into the job training/job placement phase, and social services phase. Participants will continue to participate in mandatory group counseling sessions throughout a portion of the day while spending the remaining working hours of the day immersed in job readiness coaching/training and industry certification training. Following the job training and job certification phase will be the job placement/retention and continued wrap-around social services phase – all while continuing to participate in substance abuse group counseling sessions. Combined, the job placement/retention and continued wrap-around services create a pathway of sustainability and an opportunity for economic security.
